Kalyani Government Engineering College is proud to share a landmark achievement in interdisciplinary research and innovation.
A groundbreaking study led by M.Tech. final-year student Pallab Kumar Pramanik (ECE), with B.Tech. final-year students Rohit Biswas, Soutik Mondal, Sourav Sarkar, and Debarghya Paul, has resulted in the design, fabrication, and experimental validation of a flexible optical bend sensor—a major step forward for bio-prosthetic applications and structural health monitoring. The research was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Aritra Acharya, faculty member in the Department of ECE, KGEC.
Their dedicated effort, technical acumen, and teamwork have earned international recognition with the publication of their results in the journal Micro and Nanostructures, Elsevier (Impact Factor: 3.0). This accomplishment not only highlights KGEC’s commitment to research-led learning, but also sets a benchmark for student innovation in cutting-edge fields.
