Inter-College Cricket Tournament

The much-anticipated Inter-College Cricket Tournament was held as part of the annual sports event, Al-Hambra, at Kalyani Government Engineering College, between 25th to 26th of February. The tournament brought togethervteams from various colleges, fostering a spirit of competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork. This event was one of the highlights of Al-Hambra, attracting enthusiastic participation from students and spectators

 

The tournament followed a knockout format, with a total of ten teams competing for the championship title. The participating colleges included:
 

1.Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC)
2.Academy of technology
3.Ideal Institute of Technology
4.JIS
5.IQCITY
6.GCETTS
7.IIIT Kalyani
8.MAKAUT
9.RKMGEC
10.Bengal Institute of Technology
 

Each match was played in the T20 format, with league matches leading to semi-finals and the grand finale. The tournament was held over two days, with teams showcasing their cricketing skills in a highly competitive atmosphere.
 

 

The grand finale featured RKMGEC VS IDEAL Institute of Technology, where RKMGEC clinched the title with an all-round performance. IDEAL won the toss and grabbed batting with a score of 111. Despite of the high target, RKMGEC smashed IDEAL in the second innings.
