Three experimental research papers from the IoT & Sensors Laboratory, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC) under the supervision of Dr. Aritra Acharyya have been conferred with the Outstanding Paper Award at the 8th Regional Science and Technology Congress, 2026.
The award-winning research works are:
- Flexible Polarization-Based Twist Sensor Using TiO₂–Silicone Rubber Nanocomposite-Based Waveguide with Transparent Epoxy Duct
- ANN-Driven Realization of Analog Voltage-Controlled Resistors
- Artificial Neural Networks-Based Optimization for the Design of GaN IMPATT Sources
Among these, the first paper was awarded in Region-1 (University of North Bengal, Siliguri) while the remaining two papers received awards in Region-2 (Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol).
All three papers have been selected for presentation at the 33rd State Science and Technology Congress 2026 scheduled to be held later this month. The presentations will be evaluated for possible research grant support from the Department of Science Technology & Biotechnology (DSTBT), Government of West Bengal.
This remarkable achievement highlights the growing research excellence of KGEC in the domains of advanced sensors, artificial intelligence–driven circuit design and high-frequency semiconductor devices by reinforcing the institute’s commitment to impactful and application-oriented research.
