Report on Programmes Held at KGEC on 11 September 2026

Two notable programmes were organized at Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC) on 11 September 2026.

1. ZUGZWANG – A Battle of Minds, A Game of Wits
The Quiz Club, KGEC, “Les Quizerables,” organized the quiz competition ZUGZWANG at the MSB Seminar Hall at 1:00 PM. The innovative quiz featured unconventional rounds, strategic challenges and quick decision-making. Students participated in teams of two, with prizes and participation certificates provided to the participants. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sudip Adhikari and Dr. Debojyoti Mitra.

2. Industrial Safety Awareness Programme
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, KGEC, in collaboration with The Association of Engineers (India), organized an Industrial Safety Awareness Programme at the North Block Seminar Room from 2:00 PM onwards. The programme focused on promoting awareness of industrial safety and responsible engineering practices among students, teachers, staff and faculty members.

Both programmes contributed to student engagement, intellectual development and professional awareness at KGEC.
