The IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society Student Branch Chapter at Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC) successfully organized its second webinar titled “Cybernetics for Human-Centric Cyber Physical Systems” on April 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

The session was delivered by Ying (Gina) Tang, Associate Vice-President of IEEE SMCS and Professor at Rowan University. In her talk, she highlighted the evolving role of cybernetics in designing intelligent and human-centric cyber-physical systems, emphasizing interdisciplinary integration across control systems, artificial intelligence and human-machine interaction. The lecture provided valuable insights into current research trends, real-world applications and future opportunities in this rapidly advancing field.

The webinar witnessed active participation from over 100 attendees, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, faculty members and industry professionals from diverse academic and technical backgrounds. The interactive session encouraged meaningful discussions with participants engaging in a lively Q&A segment that further enriched the learning experience.

The event was smoothly coordinated by the organizing team of the IEEE SMCS Student Branch Chapter, KGEC. It served as an excellent platform for knowledge dissemination, professional interaction and fostering interest in cybernetics and intelligent systems among the academic community.

Overall, the webinar was a great success and contributed significantly to promoting awareness and understanding of human-centric approaches in cyber-physical system design.
