🌍 World Environment Day Celebration @ Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC), in collaboration with Paschim Banga Vigyan Mancha, Kalyani Vigyan Kendra, Kalyani, Nadia, organized a programme on the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June 2026 at the AAB Seminar Hall, KGEC. World Environment Day is observed globally on 5 June to promote environmental awareness and encourage collective action for protecting nature and sustainable development.

The programme was centered around the theme:
“Saving Nature Before It Is Too Late: Environmental Sustainability”

The event featured a Speech Competition aimed at encouraging students to express their ideas and concerns regarding environmental conservation, climate responsibility and sustainable practices. The programme was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Jayanta Kumar Biswas, who shared valuable insights on environmental sustainability and the importance of scientific awareness in addressing ecological challenges.

The initiative reflected KGEC’s commitment towards promoting environmental consciousness, community engagement and sustainable practices among students and society. 🌱
